Pricing model for usage

Unlike other companies, we only charge you for the amount you use. Most providers will charge you a reocurring plan fee based on a number of SMS or Emails you plan to use (say 500 SMS per month for $40/mo). But what if you don't send any SMS or only 100 SMS? With us, you just paid for the SMS and emails you actually send.

When you opt into any of these additional pay-per-usage services outlined below (such as Email, Phone for SMS or calls, AI), you establish a digital " Wallet" to pay per use charges. This holds credits so you can pay for the usage. The wallet charges your card on file to load credits. See more on Digital Wallets below.

Specific pricing for usage of services

Per Usage Email Pricing:

There are no monthly reocurring charges for sending emails. You only pay per each email sent.
Email pricing is per email sent and it's competitive - lower cost than most major SMTP providers.

$0.675/1,000 emails sent

Optional additional Email Verification Service Pricing:

You can turn on email verification (this is optional but recommended), which will help to ensure you are sending emails to valid addresses. Email verification is charged just ONE time per email, when you first send them an email. Once the email is verified, you don't need to verify it again.
This service is important and valuable when building a list, so that you build a list of validated emails only.

The email verification service is charged at $2.50 per 1,000 email verifications.

Charges for Phone Numbers:

Reoccurring monthly charge: Local Phone Number: $1.15 /month | Toll-Free Number: $2.15 / month

Per usage:

Outbound SMS: $0.0079/per SMS segment sent to US & Canada numbers
Inbound SMS: $0.0083/per SMS segment received from US numbers
* One SMS segment is up to 160 characters. If you go over 160 characters, you get charged for 2 segments.

This pricing is both for the local and toll-free numbers. For all the other countries, the pricing will also be based on Twilio's pricing.

So for sample charges for SMS Marketing:
To send 1,000 SMS messages (In USA or Canada), you'd be charged $7.90.
Plus the once-a-month charge for your phone number ($1.15 or $2.15).

About your Digital Wallet: How you pay for usage

What's a Digital Wallet

When you opt into any of these additional to use services outlined above (such as Email, Phone for SMS or calls, AI), you establish a digital " Wallet" to pay per use charges. This holds credits so you can pay for the usage. The wallet charges your card on file to load credits. See more on Digital Wallets below.

Minimum balance in your Wallet

Wallet charges occur when wallet balances drop below a minimum amount.

We recommend loading your wallet with credits with at least $10 minimum to avoid reaching $0 and risking your emails or SMS messages stopping from going out mid-action

To View Your Wallet:

Go to Settings / Billing and click on "Wallet & Transactions" tab.

It will show you:
Your Wallet Balance. These are the "credits" that will be used when you send emails or texts. This is loaded by charging your card on file.

You will not be charged again until your wallet amount is below the minimum balance.
You want to have enough funds available in your wallet so that emails and sms texts sent and don't get stopped half way through sending.

Auto recharge with ($xx) when balance is lower than ($x)
This shows you how much your card will be charged whenever your wallet is at this minimum $ amount so you don't empty our your wallet and cause interruption in your email or SMS sending.

For example:
If you send 2,000 emails each day for 7 days, that's $9.75 for the week.
If you send 1,000 SMS messages for 7 days, that's 7 days x $7.90 = $55 for the week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I was charged $10 today but haven't sent any emails out. What am I being charged for?

Yes, the wallet would have auto-recharged as soon as the balance is below the amount set in the wallet configurator. This is so that next time you sent emails, they will be sent (and not paused) and the actual charge for emails sent will be taken out of your digital wallet (Your card will not be charged again).

Q. I was billed $20 right away. However, I haven't called anyone yet and have only created one phone number. Is this expected?

Yes, the wallet would have auto-recharged as soon as the balance is below the amount set in the wallet configurator.

Q.Will I be charged if I encounter an error when sending an SMS?

If there's an internal error with LC Phone before the message is handed off to the phone provider, you won't be charged. However, charges apply to every message where a delivery attempt has been made, regardless of the final delivery status. This includes messages sent from toll-free numbers, A2P numbers, and those not deliverable due to country restrictions or other factors. We urge users to be fully informed and cautious before sending messages, as refunds will not be provided for undelivered SMS.
